2008 - Original concept and blog (now gone). Sadly I have been a bit too busy over the last few years to give this the attention it deserves. Hopefully in the near future (2014) things will get moving again. In the meantime here is a not-too-complete list of activities so far.
- Acoustic guitar from FC
- cleaned and a minor repair - now in hands of a local school. - Ancient trombone and small keyboard from YM
- keyboard has a new power pack for the keyboard and it is off to a new home at a local school.
- the trombone though is more suitable for museum than musical use (looks really nice). - Drums (part of kit) from education department
- a bit of a clean and one local primary percussion group has become even louder! - Flutes, clarinets and saxs from a local primary school
- Quite a bit here just for spare parts though managed to get a couple of flutes into playable condition. These have been lent to local primary children.
- A couple of clarinets and saxs should also be salvagable. - Bass clarinet from local school - broken in half and badly glued then broken again!
- Still contemplating this one. May convert to single piece instrument. - Tenor sax from V - not a great instrument but in good condition.
- (2011) A few adjustments and it is off on (permanent?) loan to a local community band (NSSWE). - 2012 - PA system
- after a few repairs it is now working again. Was going to donate to local community band but a bit big for their needs.
- Some parts on "permanent loan" to local community jazz band
- Will use and/or sell rest coming year or two. - 2013 - Bought a few "damaged" 12" active speaker boxes
- Got 2 working and have used with local community band
- Rest will convert to passive so can use with avove mentioned PA.
